Life on the Farm

We’ve been at our farm-house since November 2015 and I can say I love it. I never thought I would be on a mini farm. I’ve never dreamed of having chickens or guinea hens. When we started looking at houses, I though I might like to get some chickens, but buying everything for them, building their coop and all the work sounded awful {I know, I’m lazy}. BUT God, blessed us with a house that already had a really large coop, and plenty of hens! I love every day here, and the beautiful fields that surround us.

I never could have imagined moving to a small village in the country, but that’s where we are. My life from a year ago has been completely turned upside down, and its awesome. We were city dwellers in new apartments every year. Now we are on a dirt road and have to drive 30 minutes to get to the nearest grocery or pet store.

I am really amazed in this last year how much we have changed all for God’s glory. I am so excited everyday to wake up and see what is in store. In the future, we hope to get a few goats, ducks and possibly a mini pig {if I can convince my hubby on the mini pig}; but for now, we are content with our 4 dogs and our barn cats. I am grateful for everyday here on the farm and its amazing to see all of our fruit trees produce us a harvest right before our eyes. It still shocks me when I get woken up in the middle of the night, not due to loud music from other people, but the coyotes outside my window.
